Why does it feel so good to just stare at my garden
This year I have really started to commit to my garden. I keep it tidy and I’ve made a flower bed, my honeysuckle is thriving, my rhododendron is beautifully blooming, my carnivorous plants are eating more than their fill.
My kitchen has patio doors that faces my garden. I WFH and I recently have been abandoning my upstairs office / spare room in favour of the kitchen table. I find myself just staring at my plants, my lawn, the insects that come and go lol. Sometimes I grab a coffee and just sit next to my houseplant shelf and stare. And often my favourite part of the day, when work is done and my toddler is in bed, is when I am alone in the garden watering everything after the sun has blasted it all day. My garden is in full sun almost all day, and I’d sit out there and work if I could but there’s almost 0 shade and I can’t quite afford a garden parasol just yet. So I settle for staring at it from my kitchen.
Anyone else catch themselves just staring at greenery for a good half hour??
