Favourite non-annual and why?

My favourite annual is probably pattypan squash because they’re amazing on the bbq/grilled and I can’t get them in the shops.

My favourite non-annual might be my apple tree. It’s a dwarf variety which I can see from the decking. His flowers are always lovely in spring, making me smile, and crops the tastiest apples later in the year. It was the first tree I planted in my garden.
