What have I just pulled out of my bee hotel?

Sorry if this is the wrong place, couldn’t think of where to ask the question. Just was having a little peek at my bee hotel and saw this in a fairly large gap between the holes. It didn’t look right, as i know the solitary bees tend to use little leaves to build in their holes, so I grabbed a small stick and poked it out.

Google lens is giving me flatworm results, but I’m not sure that’s where they tend to seek out residence…?

Regardless, despite not touching it, I still thoroughly washed my hands afterwards.
