What eggs? – Reddit Post

Can someone tell me what eggs are these in the mulch of my strawberry plants? 😢 i have lots of fungus gnats so maybe its fungus gnats eggs? Any advice on how to manage this?

Im planning to remove all mulch and pour boiling hot water on the mulch and then put back the mulch. Quite tedious but my strawberries are in pots so shouldnt be that much. And seems like the most efficient way(?) i dont know 😔😭 its pea straw mulch btw

Also saw few aphids on the stem that ive squished but dont think its aphids eggs as they lay eggs on leaves(?)
