What did you hate eating before having it fresh off the plant?

I’m sitting here eating my Snow and Sugar Snap Peas, freshly picked, when I remembered that I hated peas before growing them. Supermarket peas just taste horrible. Someone told me that off the plant is completely different. Holy fuck are they great off the plant. I went nuts for them last year so I planted a lot more this year so I could just eat eat eat.

Corn as well. I hated the taste of corn before growing it and holy hell is it juicy and delicious. And even Tomatoes. Unless it was pasta sauce or tomato sauce then I didn’t bother. Off the plant? I eat them like fucking apples. Completely different taste.

I’m excited to see how my Leeks taste cause I love supermarket Leek so I can just imagine what a different world that’s gonna be.
