Turn this is grass?

I bought about an acre of ex pasture land to extend the garden. Ive spent the day clearing what was a wild mess of thistles, brambles, comfrey plants etc. There is grass in there already but any suggests on how I just keep the grass and get rid of the nasty stuff? It’s for the kids to play on, another issue is it’s very uneven, far from easy to walk on.
