Tulips and cats

I have a cat who spends a lot of time outside, and so I tend to avoid planting things that are poisonous to cats. However I recently received a gift of thirty tulip bulbs and am wondering what to do. My cat doesn’t seem to be that interested in the plants in the garden generally, apart from nibbling on grass from time to time. She also goes into neighbouring gardens where there are probably poisonous plants. Just wondering what other cat owners do? Should I plant the bulbs or is it not worth the risk?
