Tree surgeon has just pollarded my neighbour’s oak tree (UK) – Reddit Post

I’m in the UK, so the tree was just starting to come into leaf. All of the leafy growth has now been removed. Is it likely that the tree will have time to grow new leaves this year?

They had the same thing done five years ago but that was done in February while the tree was dormant. I didn’t think April was the right time of year to be doing this sort of thing to a tree that you want to keep?
