Suggestions for plant in front of AC compressor

We’ve got a narrow bed along a boundary fence where the plan was just fill in with dichondra.

As you can see the area right in front of the AC is going to get hit with the exhaust. At the moment it’s freezing cold air from the heater but it’ll get hammered with hot air against a colorbond fence in summer and I feel like it will just desiccate whatever is there

Has anyone had success growing anything in this space? Further down this area in front of one of the windows we were going to grow native jasmine but again I feel like it’ll get destroyed by the hot/cold air
