Some plants just hate my garden

I’ve only been here 18 months and am replacing the lawn with perennials.

I planted a lot of my favourites but have to accept that some plants hate my garden. I can put my favourites in pots so all is not lost, but it got me thinking whether anyone else has this issue too?

Things that refuse to grow are Primula, delphinium, Salvia, Aquilegia, Scabious, Achilia and Rudbeckia. All stuff that should grow anywhere.

Things that flourish are Hollyhocks, globe thistle, anemone, Penstemon, Phlox and honeywort.
