Soil preparation help!

Hello all! Looking for some help, advice and guidance. I am located in Geelong and have cut out some concrete to create a privacy screen of Lilly Pillies along the fence and also some garden beds in the backyard for olive trees, golf ball pitosporums, agaves, rosemary and others. What do people recommend as soil preparation and application? I have applied gypsum where the concrete was as it was clay like. I have applied numerous applications of round up to the kikuyu out the back (hoping it doesn’t come back!). What do people recommend in terms of preparation, should I use blood and bone, liquid fertiliser, osmocote etc or apply anything else before soil application? And with soil application should I use a ‘garden mix’ or a blend of something else? Am planning on getting a soil test. Any advice greatly appreciated!
