so disheartening, my first ever and only tomato, yet to fully ripen was eaten by a squirrel today, plus they decimated my sunflowers. – Reddit Post

*edit: yet to ripen at all, no sign of any pink, still very green and I put an organza bag over it too!

I suppose I need to set up some greenhouse thing to grow tomatoes, and I might plant a larger row of sunflowers so we all have some to share.

last year our oak trees had a mast year for acorns but barely any this year so far, so we think they are very hungry. they even knocked over my hummingbird feeder twice (broke it twice) trying to get sustenance. I also put out some squirrel friendly food and they eat it all up very fast.

I don’t know what else to do but it’s really bumming me out. thank god they don’t eat my dahlias!!
