Sad about losing all my seedlings, anyone got any stories of garden successes off the back of failures to cheer me up?

Started 20 chillies back in Feb, 16 tomatoes in March and sowed all my peas, sunflowers and lettuce a month ago. Went on holiday this week and the forecast said it was due to rain a few days, so stupidly assumed they’d be alright without asking a friend to come water them. Came back today and they are all dead, every one of them 🙁 It’ll be an expensive trip to the nursery tomorrow.

Has anyone had any silver linings happen off the back of a big failure?
