Went through the effort of growing my first giant pumpkin, nursing it to a whopping 57lbs in less than ideal conditions. It was the pride of my garden. A few days before I left on vacation, It developed a small crack in the blossom end so before I flew out I caulked the crack closed, hit it with anti-fungal, put it undercover so it would be out of the rain. I did all I could in order to will it till I got home, hopefully closer to Halloween. Over those 3 weeks, the flexible caulk seal and sulphur actually seemed to have done its job and looked to have prevented any rot forming in the blossom end. So I return home after a 16 hr flight from Scotland to this.
