Ride on mower recommendations, is bunnings any good to buy from?

I’ve just bought a small-ish block property (a bit less than half an acre), and I’ve been looking ride on mowers. I need something that is a bit smaller so I can get it up under the carport past some garden beds for storage.

The only real places near me that sell ride on’s, that I don’t have to travel more then 2 hours for, is bunnings. I’ve been told by the old fella up the road that not to get a ride on from Bunning as they only sell lower quality stock? I’m not sure if this is true or not.

I am also a 24yr girl, and I have been screwed over many other times by people that don’t think I know anything, I really wanna make sure I’m not making a stupid decision based on what some guy tells me.

I’ve also found two brands of mowers that are within my price range and size that I was looking for.

I’m not sure if I should be looking at something battery operated or be staying away from it? I’ve never even bought a regular mower before this is my first time out of Home and I really am at a loss.

Also, any direction for good maintenance or habits I should be building to maintain the mower would be great as well!
