Recommendations: Quality corded mower that doesn’t clog?
I have a 8x5m lawn shaped like a Pringle with fast-growing grass and I cut once a week. Had a Bosch Rotak years ago that would cut through anything with ease, including wet grass. Lasted ten years. When it died I had no money and went cheap for the replacement but regretted it. Went back to Bosch for the next one but it has been terrible. Chokes and clogs on the slightest dampness (and I live in Yorkshire so the grass is pretty much always damp) and the height adjustment has now snapped. Rubbish quality.
This time I have some cash spare and want to buy a really good mower with decent torque and a collector design which doesn’t clog the way my Rotak did. I’m fine with a cord – haven’t run over one in 40 years and don’t plan to start now.
All the review sites focus on features, not performance. I don’t care how many bells and whistles it has, I just want it to carve through the grass. Recommendations?
