Question about automatic watering system and filtering – Reddit Post

Wife and I put in a drip tape system in our vegetable garden and what a time/back saver it has been, best money we have spent (a few hundred at the end of the day) We also have a private well and due to to heavy iron we have a water softener/conditioner system. What are everyone’s thoughts / experience for a filter for the garden water? We ran it straight this summer and it didn’t seem to effect it greatly but as I’m dumping salt into the softener system, it can’t be totally fine, right? Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated, thank you!!
