Putting down 1/2″ square mesh to keep out burrowing rodents in my raised bed. Is this really necessary? Is there any downside to this? – Reddit Post

Basically what the title says. This is such a giant pain in the tush and if there’s any drawback to doing it I may reconsider. What say you gardening folks? Thanks!
