Privacy Options

I moved into this house in August last year. As you can see the fence is very low, and my new neighbours are constantly outside with yappy dog, loud wife and screaming toddlers. I’m looking for some ways to get some privacy. Would the best option be to get some new, taller fencing, or could it work with trellis and climbing plants? Ideally looking for something before the six weeks holiday. Thanks!
