New build garden progress

So I just wanted to share my progress on my new build garden. It’s our first go at any sort of garden design, and I’m proud of what we have achieved so far. The space had a bit of an inline towards the back so the idea was to put a terrace in for herbs, and a small patio at the top which gets the most sun, whilst having a small bit of lawn space and as much of a border as possible!

The steps up to the top were inspired by the southwest coastpath, as we live nearby so I’m waiting on the Heather’s to grow up and start matting, as well as a few alpines in the top of the terrace.

Can anyone recommend some good plants cor the border to provide a bit or privacy from our neighbors to the right?
