My newly planted garden attracted a monarch caterpillar that just hatched from the cocoon into a butterfly! – Reddit Post

I found the caterpillar on my milkweed on 9/7 then on 9/11 it made its chrysalis on a rosemary plant. It ate half the milkweed preparing for its next phase of life! I brought the rosemary plant inside and bought an insect net to around the planter box for it to have a safe place. Today, 9/22 it hatched into a gorgeous butterfly.
