It’s 6 AM and I just realized my Blackberry plant has grown another stalk. Just wanted to share because I was so excited when I saw it! – Reddit Post

I actually went “OMG” this morning. I can’t believe how far this plant has come. It was the only cutting out of 4 that survived. This plant means so much to me. It came from my folks property that they had been living at for about 10 years before they moved out of state at the start of the year.

There was a blackberry plant on the property that was pretty enormous. It always yielded fresh fruit every summer. I took some cuttings in hopes I could grow the plant myself.

I am not a gardener by any means. I once tried growing grocery store garlic and it failed as I didn’t know anything about planting times or zones. As mentioned earlier, 3 out of the 4 cuttings didn’t survive because I didn’t know I was doing.

Fast forward a few months and the plant is growing quickly! This is so exciting!!! I just wanted to share somewhere because I’m so incredibly happy about this plant! : )
