Is this caused by fungus?

New lawn was seeded in May. Grew in well and was looking healthy after a reseeding and lots of watering over the summer.

I’ve laid off the watering now that it’s well into Autumn and it has been quite brown in most areas for a month or two now.

Any ideas what is causing this or what could help would be appreciated 👍
