Is it too late to lay turf?

I’ve been working on a garden transformation and have removed my previous turf and replaced the top 7cm of topsoil with new one. I’m hoping to complete the leveling by this evening.

But I’m now wondering, should I wait until spring or is there still time to lay turf? If I order it tonight it’ll probably arrive on Thursday or Friday.

Is it best to leave it as is and do it in March or would that make it worse with loads of weeds growing through etc?
