Inheriting some sad plants – can they be rescued?

Hello there 🙂

I’m looking for some advice on how to revive some potted plants (see attached pics)

1) sad looking bay tree (??) with the twisted trunk is actually around 16 years old

2) Acer looking not so ace lol around 9/10yrs old

3) bottle brush tree around 7 years old

They’re all quite old and once looked ‘fine’ but have never truly thrived – my Nan is an impatient gardener and hacked them and repotted them last year and they haven’t seemed to recover and she wanted to just chuck them away but I’ve given them a stay of execution due to how old they are it made me feel sad to throw them out lol 😂

I’ve grown stuff from seed and get my kicks from buying reduced half dead looking plants and reviving them from B&Q and supermarkets but I’ve never given big plants like these a go and don’t know much about them so any immediate suggestions would be greatly appreciated
