Indoor water plant advice

We currently live in an apartment and want to find a plant that lives in water, suitable for a vase inside, and ideally flowers (my bfs request). We’ve seen a few but none with flowers, googles got a few that suit ponds but keen to get people’s thoughts on what types of plants could work well and fit the brief?
