Indoor Kitty Offering, help very much needed

Hi everyone. I’m really new to posting or really using reddit at all, so I’m sorry if this had been asked before!

Here’s the thing.

My cat loves dirt.

Like. He’s a really big guy and no matter what, he craves it. He will legitimately throw tantrums if I say no to Dirt.

He also craves my plants, and I really want to give him something nice. He’s so happy when he gets to sniff at my window flowers, but he keeps trying to eat them.

I really want for him to be able to feel included. I have to do most of my gardening indoors and I feel so bad that he feels left out.

I want to plant a low bed that he’s able to play in a bit, and have it not really matter too much if the plants get nibbled sometimes.

I definitely will include cat grass and catnip, they feel sort of obvious, but what are some others that would work well for this? Preferably something on the heartier side, that can do well with bright indirect.
