How do I stop these sprouts ? – Reddit Post

I have a patch of garden which I mulched a few weeks ago and planted an old succulent. However, now there are 100s of sprouts coming up around the area through the mulch. Is there a way to stop these sprouts without chemicals (because I don’t want to kill my succulent) and without having to hand pick them all out??
