How do I know when they are ready?

These are my figs and it’s the first time in 3 years since I’ve got this plant that it’s fruiting and lots of fruit at that. I’m just wondering when I can harvest them. My onion plant as well, I’m not so sure when I can remove it from the ground. Help please…
