How do I fix this dirt?
Trying to prep these beds for native planting. Previously it was all agapanthus under ornamental pears. The Aggies are all gone – roots and all (painfully!).
Planning on putting some native ground cover. The area has been excavated and some of the dirt has been put into the beds but rather than dig it all up I’m wondering the best way to salvage the beds. There was previously pretty healthy agapanthus so the soil under is probably fine. Drip lines run through here so I don’t want to remove them just to dig.
Can I put composted manure or do I just put garden soil and get started? Keeping in mind the goal is native ground cover and maybe a few feature plants.
I don’t have access to a trailer so will Be getting soil in bags probably delivered from Bunnings.
Thanks for the tips!
