Gifted a Japanese Maple – can wildlife still benefit from a non-native?

I’ve been growing an almost exclusively native garden except some flowers, to benefit the wildlife (particularly smaller more vulnerable birds) but have been gifted this japanese maple.

Can the target wildlife still benefit?
