Gardening safety tip and gardening with the environment in mind
Hi, I’m a new gardener and just planted my first seeds this morning! I’ve been experimenting with different types of plants and learning how to grow from scratch soaking seeds, watching YouTube tutorials, the whole journey. My hands were covered in seeds afterward, and I was about to rinse them off in the sink when it hit me:
“Wait… is this bad for the environment/ the drainage system..?
That small moment got me thinking. what other beginner mistakes might be unknowingly harming the planet and myself or others 😅
So I wanted to ask: What are your basic eco-friendly gardening tips or safety habits that all newbie gardeners should know? Could be anything how to dispose of soil, what not to pour down the drain, smart ways to reuse things, seed handling, composting, etc. I’d love to build good habits right from the start.
