Gardening gloves or going bare?

Do you use gardening gloves? Or raw dog bare hand gardening?

I’ve heard horror stories about people getting infections or flesh eating diseases from going raw. But then Monty on GW doesn’t wear them, and I’ve seen a few videos where people aren’t wearing them.
