First Winter Gardening in the UK

Hey everyone! I’m gearing up for my first winter gardening season in the UK. I’ve mostly been focused on spring/summer crops up until now, so I’m trying to figure out the best way to keep my garden productive over the colder months.

I’m thinking kale, garlic,…. and maybe some broad beans, but I’d love to hear what you guys recommend for a beginner winter gardener here. Also, any advice on protecting plants from frost would be great—I’ve got fleece covers.
