Embarrassing – Dying Eucalyptus ‘Baby Blue’

I recently bought a Eucalyptus pulverulenta, wanting to create a more native garden. My hope is it can stay in a pot for its lifetime, to avoid potential root issues with the house (small urban garden).

Embarrassingly, I might be killing it. Some of the branches are quite dry, while a couple in the middle seem more healthy.

Has anyone grown a baby blue before? Any advice? Have I potentially overwatered? Leaving it to dry out, but now worrying if that’s causing the issue.

I’m new to gardening, and looking to grow some proteas, banksias, the like.
