Does anyone have any experience growing Malabar spinach? Can you grow it year-round in the UK (overwintered indoors)?

I have one small plant that was growing really quickly in the summer, but now I’ve brought it inside and it has decided to go to flower, but is still growing fine (with no new leaves).

I wanted to overwinter it, but now I’m wondering (and I can’t find out online) whether it dies back after flowering. Some say it does, some say it doesn’t.

Then I hear some people say it’s a perennial, but some say it grows year-round… So I’m confused. I think that depends on the climate though. It might be perennial here, in the UK. But I’ve only got one plant and don’t want to test it unless I know for sure.
