Clearing the compost and I keep stumbling upon random potato patches… – Reddit Post

I’m working on clearing the compost while the weather is still good. While doing that I keep stumbling across random potato patches. Already got a lawnmower trailer full of these random potatoes. Golden ones and red ones. We still have to harvest our own potato patch. I’m guessing what happened is that random little potatoes got thrown into the compost and they started to grow? Or maybe they’re from past harvests. I think that because this year we only planted red ones but we grew golden ones in the past. They’re free potatoes so I’m not going to complain.
