Blueberry bush flowering in Melbourne

I’m growing my first blueberry bush and it’s just started flowering already. I expected it wouldn’t happen till late winter but I’m assuming the above average weather has maybe tricked it? Should I remove the flowers as it’s only about a year old? Thanks in advance!!
