Balancing bugs in the garden: advice on limiting pests and protecting the good guys?
I’ve managed my garden for the past 4 years without pesticides to good effect. Spring is always the toughest but my garden generally looks great. I don’t want to eliminate bugs altogether because I know they play an important role in feeding the local birds, breaking down plant waste, supporting pollination etc
I’ve used “bugs for bugs” to eliminate small issues like scale or aphids but I am wondering if there are any plants which naturally help keep away pests?
My garden can probably continue as is but I worry I am 1 big outbreak away from a problem and would like to be consciously proactive.
