Back Garden Today vs. Four Years Ago (Zone 6b, Pennsylvania) – Reddit Post

I got bit by the gardening bug in 2021. It started when I hired landscapers to do a small job planting creeping junipers. During the time, I was sick with COVID. I had nothing better to do than to watch them work from my window. I thought, “Hey, I can do that!” Soon thereafter, I was out there digging up all my grass, amending my soil, planting, researching plants, buying plants, drawing up landscaping plans, building a semicircle patio around my shed, stringing lights, adding garden structures and more. It’s been a lot of fun, but also exhausting as a middle-aged office lady. I am shocked when I look at old pics of where I started. I should also note that I live up a hill with 30 stairs and no vehicular access to this top tier of my garden. I carried everything up the steps like a billy goat!
