Apple tree fears

Hi all,

Hoping some of the experts can shed some light and help me feel better/fix any potential issues that I may have with my Apple tree. We’re nearing mid-May and the tree usually has some leaves on by now so I’m slightly concerned. There are buds showing on quite a few of the branches but they’re slightly furry on the ends not sure if that makes a difference. I have done a scratch test on a few locations, including the trunk some thicker branches and some thinner branches. All seems to be green (as you can see in the pictures), flexibility test also seems okay. We cut it back mid March time when it was still a little chilly so hoping we haven’t killed it.
