Advice for Plants going UP my driveway?

Hey Guys… hoping for some advice?

Throughout my block – we have mass plantings of Lomandra Tanika, Weeping Silver Birch, Ornamental Pear and Myoporum ground cover… all throughout what is more or less a pretty heavily landscaped block

I’m in South East VIC – and we have two channels running along our driveway that had Tanika’s there, but they died off because we had myoproums that were along the retaining wall, draped over, and suffocated them.

We’ve now removed the myoporum, and cleaned it up – replanted some Tanika (you can see on the right) will mulch… but I’d love something featurish running up the driveway in these channels??? It gets a bit wet as we’re on a hill – so something that doesn’t mind water. Don’t mind planting trees that may go there – again, thinking feature/stand out… but it will be something that I’ll need to prune because I really want the driveway clear for delivery

So looking at the above pic which is the entrance to our house – any ideas that may really compliment the first approach/entrance?

Cheers
