Is it possible to keep a Queensland bottle tree in a pot?

I mean a really huge pot.

I got a Queensland bottle tree, and its grown like crazy so fast, faster than id ever anticipated. Is it possible to, If I get a pot big enough, have it remain in a pot? Or will I have to eventually transfer it to the ground. I dont want to it to die if I keep it in the pot too long. But I was hoping it would grow to a certain size in the pot and it would just stay at that size.

Sorry if theres any gardening lingo I should be using that I am not, I have no clue about gardening im just playing it all by ear basically !
