What is this plant? – Reddit Post

Hello! I recently bought a new house and inherited a vegetable garden along with it. There are some tomato and hatch chile plants on one side, but this plant is a bit of a mystery. I assumed it was a lettuce, but I tried a piece and it had a much more peppery flavor than expected. Can anyone help ID and let me know how I could best take care of it?
