Need suggestions for flower bed – Reddit Post

My wife and I just finished building our new house and are looking for some suggestions on what to put in our flower bed. We are at the bottom of 8A growing zone in Georgia. This side of the house faces directly East.

We know we want to plant some variety of Japanese Maple in the center of the curve by the garage, and hydrangeas on either side of the triple windows (see picture 2), but other than that, we are lost. What should we plant under the windows? In front of the porch? Ground cover? Medium sized plants? All would be getting morning sun until mid day. This is our first attempt at having a really nice flowerbed, so any tips would be greatly appreciated!
