How to prevent hedges from getting stolen

Getting 4x 1.3m high jasmine hedges getting delivered next week to plant behind our 1m high fence with no-lock gate.

What would you recommend doing to secure or deter the new plants from getting stolen as I hear some of these awful acts happen.

We have a security camera and motion sensor light but wondering if something like mesh or stakes to secure the plant may be better? Or connect the hedges altogether some how?
