Border edging name/style? – Reddit Post

Is there a name for this kind of thing? I had an abundance of tree trimmings and wanted to create edging that is good for insects. I’m looking for ways to tidy this up and make it more secure, as it explodes when I get within a few inches with the mower. I was thinking maybe tying with uncoated steel wire would work?

The temporary fence is to keep the dogs out, but it’s pretty much the only thing keeping it together. Should I keep at it or just replace the whole thing? It’s about 100-120ft total.
