3-Zone Irrigation Plan, any further suggestions?
Hey everyone,
I’m currently setting up irrigation before laying topsoil and instant turf. I’ve designed a 3-zone layout: • Zones 1 & 2: Lawn areas (sprinklers) • Zone 3: Garden beds (drip system)
The topmost garden bed (outlined in green on the diagram) is raised and will be planted with Ficus hillii ‘Flash’. The other garden beds (outlined in brown) will have smaller shrubs and flowers.
I haven’t included backflow prevention, filters, or pressure regulators in the diagram — but they will be installed where needed. The lawn sprinklers will be mounted on swing arms for easier adjustment and maintenance.
The last photo just highlights how many sprinklers overlap in that particular section of lawn to show coverage.
System Specs:
• Flow rate at the tap: 15.2 L/min Includes 20% reduction for pressure loss • Pressure at the tap: 450 kPa
Each square is 500mm
Just looking for any advice, suggestions, or red flags before I start locking everything in.
Thanks in advance!
