Is this grass healthy or should we put effort into planting new grass?

Bit of a gardening noob, our grass is relatively low maintenance but it doesn’t look the nicest. It doesn’t really grow in the winter but once the sunshine comes out it goes wild. Some research told me this type means our soil might be healthy but wanted to get this subs opinion!
