Lemon tree in Melbourne – Eureka vs dwarf Lisbon

Hello!

I’m intending to plant a lemon tree in my west-facing front garden in Melbourne. We have clay soil but we’re building cardboard raised beds and for the lemon my brother in law has obligingly dug a big deep hole which we’ll fill with kinder soil.

I was initially planning on Eureka but note that Gardening Australia (ABC, not Reddit!) says Lisbon is better for the Melbourne climate – so now I’m leaning towards a dwarf Lisbon.

Eureka is attractive for its steadier yield and lack of thorns but I’m wondering about people’s thoughts about the other pros and cons of each – hardiness, growth rate, attractiveness of the tree etc! I actually don’t have a sense of the difference in appearance between them, and I’m finding it hard to tell from online photos.

Thanks!
